Ingredients

2 lbs green beans rinsed and trimmed

32 oz. low sodium chicken broth

1/2 stick of unsalted butter.

6 - 8 whole peeled garlic cloves

Salt & pepper to taste

Preparation

Combine all ingredients but beans, salt & pepper into a pot. Bring to a boil. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 2 hours. Stir occasionally & add water as needed to keep beans just covered. Before serving add more salt & pepper as needed.
