Ingredients
1 lb (500 g) green beans, trimmed
1 tbsp (15 mL) butter
2 tbsp (25 mL) slivered almonds
1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice
Preparation
In large saucepan of boiling salted water, cook beans until tender-crisp, about 7 minutes. Drain well.
Meanwhile, in skillet, melt butter over medium heat; fry almonds until light brown, about 3 minutes. Add lemon juice and green beans; toss to coat.
