Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs green beans
5 strips of bacon
2 shallots
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
Preparation
Cook green beans in boiling water to desired tenderness and set aside.
Chop bacon and brown in skillet. Remove bacon.
In bacon grease, add shallots and cook for 2 minutes or until tender.
Add brown sugar. Cook for 1 minute.
Add balsamic vinegar. Cook for 6 minutes.
Add olive oil and mix well.
Add green beans and bacon to skillet. Toss to coat. Cook until green beans are reheated.
Serve hot.
