For the broccoli

110g/4oz purple sprouting broccoli, trimmed

For the dressing

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp honey

4 water chestnuts, diced

Topping

toasted pine nuts

Preparation

  1. Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add the broccoli and par-boil for two to three minutes and drain.
  2. Heat a grill pan and chargrill the broccoli until nicely coloured.
  3. To make the dressing, mix together the honey, soy sauce and water chestnuts.
  4. Toast pine nuts in pan with a knob of butter over medium heat until brown.
  5. Serve the broccoli warm, drizzled with the dressing
