Ingredients

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup red wine

1/8 cup lime juice

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper

salt and pepper to taste

2 lbs flank steak

Preparation

  1. In a heavy gallon-sized plastic food bag, mix together oil, vinegar, soy sauce, red wine, lime juice, honey, ginger and red pepper.

  2. Salt and pepper the flank steak, then add to plastic bag. Seal. Turn to coat and let stand in refrigerator for 4 hours and up to 24.

  3. Remove steak from marinade and grill on a lightly oiled rack until inside temperature reaches 130 degrees for medium rare. Tranfder steak to cutting board and let rest for about 5 minutes. Garnish with lime wedges, if desired.
