Ingredients

2 large tuna steaks (if steaks are small like ahi, use 3)

extra virgin olive oil

2 cloves chopped garlic

2 large cans whole tomatoes

4 basil leaves( cut up)

2 tablespoons capers

salt and pepper

a shake of red pepper flakes

grated fresh hard cheese if desired

Preparation

grill tuna and cut up into bite sized pieces. bring large pot of salted water to a boil open cans of tomatoes in a large bowl and squeeze through fingers ( cut off hard ends if they are present) In large saute pan add about 2 tablespoons olive oil,heat and add garlic. Add tomatoes salt and pepper and basil leaves add capers shake of red pepper flakes simmer for 30 minutes add tuna cook another 10 minutes boil pasta drain and add directly to tuna and sauce add cheese and mangia!
