Ingredients
1/2 cup butter…1 cup sugar…2 eggs
beaten…21/4 cups flour…1/4 tsp salt…2 tsp baking powder…1 tsp vanilla…3/4 cup milk…3/4 cup raisins…1 pound gumdrops
black ones removed and chopped fine or 1 pound of baking gums
can also eliminate the raisins and exchange gum drops for them.
Preparation
cream butter while adding sugar and beaten eggs..sift flour,salt and baking powder together over the gumdrops..dredge well..add vanilla to milk then add flour mixture and milk alternately to butter mixture..bake in large pan in slow oven. 250-300 F 1 1/2 hours or until tests done.
