Ingredients

1/2 c brown sugar

1/4 c water

2 tsp vanilla

4 c oats

1/2 c pecan pieces

1/2 c slivered almonds

1/2 c sunflower seeds

Preparation

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Mix brown sugar and water in a microwave safe glass measuring cup. Microwave on high until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from microwave and add vanilla. In a large bowl, combine oats and nuts. Mix sugar into oats and nuts. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Spread the granola onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour. Cool. Keep in an airtight container.
