Ingredients

1 cup softened butter

2 cups brown sugar (packed)

2 eggs

½ cup warm water

1 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. nutmeg

1 tsp. salt

3 ½ cups flour

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients to egg, butter, sugar mixture approximately one cup at a time, mixing in alternately with the water.

Refrigerate overnight. Roll and cut out dough on floured surface. Bake at 350° F for 8 minutes
