Ingredients

1 lb Dried kidney beans - I use canned dark red

Habanero peppers to taste - crushed and dried

2 T olive oil

2 onions chopped - I use one

1 - 6 oz can tomato paste

2 lbs chuck steak - I use 2 pounds ground chuck

1 clove elephant garlic - I use 2 or 3 regular

1 bay leaf

1 t oregano

1 t marjoram

2 - 16 oz cans Italian peeled tomatoes with juice - or 1 - 28 oz can - smash tomatoes

Preparation

Cover habanero peppers with warm water & let soak 30 minutes. In a large pan heat oil. Add onions, garlic and meat until brown. Add habanero peppers & soaking liquid, bay leaf, oregano and marjoram. Bring to a simmer before adding tomatoes and beans. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
