Ingredients

150g Low fat curd - quark

6 Tbsp Milk

6 Tbsp Oil

300g Flour

2 tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp Salt

1 Egg yolk

1 Tbsp Milk

50g Ham or Bacon

250g Sausagemeat

Smoky barbecue sauce

Preparation

Squeeze curd dry in a clean cloth. Mix it with oil and milk. Mix flour, baking powder and salt together, add to curd mixture and knead. Dice the ham, roll out the pastry on a floured surface to about 4 to 5 mm thick. Cut out strips 4 cm wide and 20 cm long. Spread thinly with barbecue sauce. Place ham and 1/8 of sausagemeat on the strip and roll up to form a croissant. Place on baking tray, brush with egg yolk mixed with milk. Bake in pre-heated oven.
