Ingredients
1 med. onion
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
2 1/2 quarts water
5 beef bullion cubes
1 1/2 cups chopped celery
1 1/2 cups chopped carrots
1 16oz canned tomatoes
1/4 cup rice or barley
2 Teaspoons Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
1 cup shredded Cabbage
2 cups diced potatoes (Add the last 1/2 hour of cooking)
Preparation
Brown the meat with the onion. Pour off fat. In a large pot add all the ingredients except potatoes. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook for 1 1/2 hours. Add potatoes the last half hour.
