Ingredients

2 lb. frozen hash browns

1/3c. unsalted butter, melted

2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese

10oz. can cream of chicken soup

1 c. sour cream

1/2 c. finely chopped onion

3/4 tsp. black pepper

Topping:

1 1/2 cups of crushed corn flakes

1/4c. unsalted butter (cut into 8 pieces)

Preparation

Mix all ingredients (except the corn flakes and squares of butter) and spread evenly in a 9 x 13 glass baking dish. Spread the corn flakes on top and distribute the butter evenly over them. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
