Ingredients
3 lbs chicken wings - about 16 wings
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 heaping teaspoon of fresh ginger
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 small yellow onion, diced (I used green onion)
1 tbsp honey
2 tsp sesame oil
(I added some fresh pineapple juice and chunks)
Preparation
- Spray inside of slow cooker with cooking spray. Place the chicken wings inside. slow cooker.
- In medium bowl, mix all the remaining ingredients until well combined.
- Taste the sauce. Adjust flavors to suit your preference, if needed.
- Pour sauce over wings. Adjust temperature on slow cooker to low.
- Cook chicken wings for about 3-4 hrs (if wings are frozen).
- Place the wings in a preheated oven (400 degrees) for 20 min. Serve.
