Ingredients

1/4 Cup Soy Sauce

2 Tablespoons Catsup

1 Tablespoon Cider Vinegar

2 Cloves Garlic, Minced

1/4 Teaspoon Pepper

1 1/2 Pounds Ground Beef

1 (8-ounce) Can Crushed Pineapple, Drained

6 Fresh Kaiser Rolls

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

6 slices bacon

Preparation

Combine ground beef, pineapple, salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a bowl. Shape into 6 patties.

Combine soy sauce, catsup, vinegar, garlic, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a small mixing bowl, blend well. I normally add the leftover pineapple juice.

Wrap bacon around edge of each patty, and secure with a wooden pick. Place patties in a shallow 2-quart dish. Pour soy sauce mixture over patties, cover and marinate in refrigerator 30 minutes.

Place patties on broiler rack, spoon marinade over meat. Broil 5 inches from heat 12 minutes, turning once. Remove picks.

Reset oven to 350 degrees. Place uncut rolls in oven for 3 minutes. Put burgers together.
