Ingredients

3 lbs beef loin, cut into 6 individual pieces

1 onion, sliced thinly

1 sliced shallot

4 bay leaves

3 sticks cinnamon

4 ribs celery

1 head garlic, whole cloves

1 small head of cabbage

Marinade

4 tbsp garlic olive oil

2 tbsp sugar

3 tbsp cider vinegar

pepper to taste

1 tsp ground cinnamon

2 tbsp kosher salt

1 ½ tbsp mustard seeds

1 tsp ground cloves

½ tsp ground ginger

Preparation

Combine ingredients of marinade and add beef. Marinate beef for at least 2 hours (overnight is better). Layer the bottom of the steamer shelves with cabbage leaves. Layer remaining ingredients evenly throughout steamer. Steam for 30 - 40 min.
