Ingredients

1 cup butter or margarine

2 cups packed brown sugar

½ cup buttermilk

2 large or 3 medium eggs

3½ cups self-rising flour

2 cups chopped pecans

2 cups chopped dates

1 cup candied cherries

1 cup candied pineapple

Preparation

Mix butter, sugar, and eggs. Stir in buttermilk and flour. Mix in fruit. Chill at least one hour. Spoon onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes.
