Ingredients

KEEP ALL INGREDIENTS SEPARATE!

1.1 cup buttermilk biscuit baking mix

2.1 cup sugar divided into two equal parts

3.1/3 cup and 3 tablespoons baking soda divided

4.1/2 cup milk

5.1 teaspoon vanilla extract

6.1 and 2/3 cup hot water

7.Whipped topping(optional)

Preparation

Stir Together biscuit baking mix,1/2 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons cocoa;blend in milk and vanilla. Spread mixture into an ungreased 8" by 8" baking dish. In a separate bowl, blend together remaining cocoa and sugar; sprinkle over cake mix. Pour hot water over top; DO NOT STIR!!!!!!!! Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until top is firm to the touch. Cool slightly and serve with whipped topping(optional).
