Ingredients

4 cups chickpeas/garbanzo beans, canned

1/3 cup tahini

juice from 1 lemon

2 cloves garlic, chopped

1/2 tsp. cumin

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

2 tbsp olive oil

Preparation

  • Drain canned chickpeas, reserving some of the canning liquid.
  • Combine ingredients in food processor.
  • Process until smooth; adding reserved liquid if necessary.
  • Serve with pita wedges or vegetable sticks.
