Ingredients
Base:
400g can of chick peas
60ml (4 Tbls) tahini
60-90ml (4-6 Tbls) chick pea water from can
90ml (6 Tbls) lemon juice (2 lemons)
4 cloves garlic, crushed
Optional: 1 tsp cumin
Topping:
30ml (2 Tbls) olive oil
Paprika
Preparation
Mix all base ingredients in blender to desired consistency. You can help get the right consistency by adding the chick pea water a little at a time.
Some people like it thick, some like it thin. Some like it course blended, some like it fine blended.
Optionally dust with paprika.
Pour over olive oil at end.
Serve with warm pita bread. Olives go very well with it.
