Ingredients
1.5 C self-rising cornmeal
2 C self rising flour
4 large eggs
1/4 C milk
Vegetable oil for frying
Preparation
In a large bowl combine flour,cornmeal and sugar. In a small bowl beat the eggs with the milk. Add to the cornmeal mixture to make a stiff dough that pulls away from the bowl. Add more flour if necessary. Heat oil until hot, then lower heat to medium-low. Drop the batter by tablespoons into the oil 6-8 at a time. Cook until hush puppy puffs and turns, about 5 minutes
